A: A purse is established from the registration fees, and depending on the number of players, CASH PRIZES and/or Amazon Gift Cards are awarded to the best finishers. Additionally, there are voluntary pari-mutuel games, skins games, closest to the hole competitions and longest drive contests at each event.
A: The Vegas Golf Series is an initiative by the East Coast Pro Tour to revolutionize team golf and the Pro-Am experience. Amateur golfers will have the opportunity to compete as a team alongside the best professional golfers in Quebec and Ontario! The Vegas Golf Series offers golfers the opportunity to play an exciting and competitive round of golf on some of Quebec's and the GTA's finest courses and compete for cash prizes! The Vegas Golf Series consists of eight (8) 5-man scramble events and nine (9) 2-man best-ball events throughout the summer. The top teams at each event will earn their spot to compete in The Tour Championship October 2021.
A: The Tour Championship will take place October 2021. This 2 day event will feature the 2-man best-ball format on day 1 and the 5-man scramble on day 2. Each format will bring together the best 3 teams from each event this summer as well as the Top50 players on the Order of Merit. Any player who successfully qualifies may invite the partner of their choice, provided they meet the handicap requirements. The Tour Championship will crown the best teams in Canada and
A: Ranking points are awarded to all players based on each performance on the Vegas Golf Series. The Top3 teams at each event will earn their exemption to compete at The Tour Championship in the format they have qualified for. There will be two (2) separate order of merits to rank players in both the 5-man scramble and 2-man best-ball formats. Additional information regarding the points breakdown can be found in the Rankings section.
A: Prices for each event can be found on each specific Tournament Info page. Registration fees for each tournament include green fees, golf cart, round with an ECPT pro (5-man scramble only), driving range, eligibility for the purse and access to various contests.
A: 5-MAN SCRAMBLE (Register as a team of 2, and a draft ensues)
The two team members’ aggregate Golf Canada Handicap factor must be between 2.0 and 45.0. A maximum index differential of 15.0 is permitted between the 2 team members. A professional player may play as part of a team of two but his handicap will be set at 0.0. He will therefore need to find a partner between 2.0 and 15.0.
4.6 + 7.2 = 11.8 (ELIGIBLE)
15.2+18.1 = 33.3 (ELIBIGLE)
0.2 + 1.0 = 1.2 (INELIGIBLE, team aggregate Golf Canada Handicap Index is lower than 8.0)
17.8 + 30.2 = 48.0 (INELIGIBLE, team aggregate Golf Canada Handicap Index is greater than 45.0)
1.2+22.4 = 23.6 (INELIGIBLE, team Golf Canada Handicap Index differential is greater than 15.0)
All Golf Canada Handicap Indexes must be current and active at the time of registration and through the event. Only official Golf Canada Handicap Indexes will be accepted at Vegas Golf Series events. The Vegas Golf Series Rules Staff will verify all indexes.
At its discretion, the rules committee reserves the right to make handicap adjustments and player and team disqualifications based upon evidence derived through handicap examinations or evidence of past performance. The Vegas Golf Series rules committee reserves the right to suspend handicap or rules violators from future tournament participation.
A: You will need to play 3 official rounds to assess your level of play. You will also become a member of Golf Canada after your first Vegas Golf Series of the year.
